When one talks about a budget or mid-range Android smartphones invariably one tends to gravitate towards a Chinese smartphone manufacturing company Xiaomi. Over the last few years, the company has launched high-end as well as the mid-range smartphone with a suitable price tag. Recently the company has launched its latest handset, dubbed as the Xiaomi Mi 5X Smartphone.
The notable thing about this smartphone is that it is the first Android-powered phone that comes with MIUI 9 out of the box. Is this its main highlight? Might be but the phone has another mentionable feature, of course, its dual camera setup at the back of the device. This is not a high-end smartphone so the camera of Mi 5X is not same as the Xiaomi Mi M6 flagship phone has, it’s cheap and offers decent picture quality.
Let’s move to screen size, the phone features a 5.5 inches display, which is perfectly fit into your hand and you don’t have any grip problem. Along with the average screen size, the phone supports the IPS LCD 1080p resolution that will provide you pretty nice viewing experience, but not exactly same as the AMOLED display offers.
It is a company’s budget offering for those who want a solid plus dual camera phone and does not want to break the bank in order to buy. On the software front, the mid-range handset has powered by the energy-efficient Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor paired with 4GB of high-speed RAM for fast and reliable performance. For storage, the phone comes in two storage model; either a 32GB or a 64GB variant.
To power the device, there is a 3,080 mAh battery that will offer you average battery life. Unfortunately, the phone does not support fast charging technology. Another disappointing thing is that the phone has limited market availability. The phone also supports for fingerprint sensor for added security, but this is not a big deal every 2017 phone does support fingerprint recognition.
