Samsung has hit the market with his new Galaxy Plus smartphone. The Korean giant Samsung has refreshed its Galaxy Plus smartphone with the unveiling of Galaxy Ace Plus. The Galaxy Ace Plus smartphone is already being compared to Apple products.
The Galaxy Ace Plus bears a striking resemblance to Apple’s iPhone 3G with its curved black plastic back, rounded corners and familiar screen-to-device ratio. The only major cosmetic differences are the positioning of the camera on the back, the large rectangular home button on the front, and the logos. In all probability, Samsung just wants to tell Apple that it is not scared or even to prove a point that Apple cannot own rights to the design of an all-touchscreen, rectangular smartphone with curved edges and back
The Galaxy Ace Plus is one step up from the company’s existing Galaxy Ace handset. It features a 1GHz processor, Android 2.3 Gingerbread, a 3.65-inch 320 x 480 pixel resolution LCD screen (which is slightly larger than the iPhone 3G’s 3.5-inch display), a 5MP camera and LED flash, Bluetooth and GPS. Other features include Wi-Fi 802.11 connectivity, Bluetooth 3.0, HSDPA 7.2 Mbps and Samsung’s range of apps and services. Galaxy Ace Plus will come with Android Gingerbread, 512MB of RAM, 3GB storage which can be expanded up to 32GB using MicroSD card. it also include features like Samsung’s TouchWiz interface and ThinkFree which will let users edit word and excel documents while on the move.
For social networking, the phone will offer services like Social Hub, Music Hub and Chat ON. According to reports, the phone is set to arrive in Russia this month, followed by Europe, CIS, Latin America, Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
Despite of the lack of front camera, the Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus will be fully packed with widgets and apps. Samsung has long been known for its wide selection of quality smartphones. That includes the Samsung Galaxy S2 and the newly released Samsung Galaxy Nexus. Furthermore, the Galaxy Ace that Samsung launched last year seems to be doing pretty well in the market.
