Jaybird announced its Run XT genuine wired-free earbuds. As the name implies those are made for runners. Not like the preceding Run version, however, the Run XT earbuds feature IPX7 certification, that means they may be submerged to depths of 1 meter for up to thirty minutes.

The Run XT equipped with custom EQ settings so your favorite music will sound just how you like it. You could also use simply one earbud in mono mode to listen on your preferred music and take calls, while still being aware of what’s going on around you.

The new Jaybird RUN XT headphones are a follow-up to the popular Jaybird Run model.

“We’re excited to construct on the success of Run by using making Run XT even higher with complete IPX7 water-resistant[ing], increasing its sturdiness in all situations,” said Jeremy Saxton, head of business layout at Jaybird. “Now, the entire lineup of Jaybird headphones are water-resistant and sweatproof. on the same time, we took the possibility to replace the colours and finishing to create a more rugged, yet sophisticated design.”

Now with an IPX7 waterproof rating – which means your buds should be fine if you’re caught in a sudden downpour – and new color schemes, the Run XTs are priced at $179.99 / £169.99. This works out at around AU$300, although it doesn’t look like the new buds are available in Australia just yet.
