The maker of CASE smartphone remote for DSLRs, CheeringTech, has launched a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo for a lighter and smaller next-gen version, the CASE Remote Air. It claims to be the world’s most compact and powerful wireless camera controller, providing similar features to the popular Camranger, but at just 2.4 inches long and weighing only 50g.
With this technology, photographers can remotely set camera parameters and live-view and quick review photos on their smart devices. weighing only 50g and measuring 2.4 x 1.6 square inches, the ‘CASE remote air’ is the smallest camera controller in the market.
Like similar devices, it connects to the USB-port of your DSLR and creates a Wi-Fi hotspot that enables for a wireless connection to your smartphone or PC. Using a dedicated app you can then see the camera’s live view image on the display of your phone, alter camera parameters, control video shooting or use one of the special modes, such as time-lapse or focus-stacking. In addition, you can download images from the camera to your device, including Raw files.
