Building on the success of the Bragi Dash headphones, German audio hardware manufacturer now made available their new cable-free earbuds, in the form of aptly named Headphone. The new Bragi Headphone earbuds are roughly $10 cheaper than Apple’s AirPods and offers an extra hour of audio on a single charge as well as a more slimline design.
The new $149 set of wireless in-ear headphones do not carry the same tracking abilities and hand gestures as its $299 predecessor, but do not let the lack of smarts fool you. The more affordable model is still a solid set of wireless earbuds.
The Headphone features voice calls with Voice Transparency, and uses the paired smartphone’s voice assistant. The company claims The Headphone is capable of maintaining a more steady Bluetooth connection compared to The Dash. It’s designed to support fitness tracking, gesture controls, heart rate monitoring as well. This wireless Headphone can be controlled using a smartphone Bragi app on Android, iOS and Windows mobile platforms. Furthermore, being the ripped-down version of The Dash, the battery on this pair of wireless earbuds is said to last up to 6h, which is almost double the battery life you get on Dash despite it having the same 100mAh capacity.
With the Headphone, Bragi remedied the connectivity issues we experienced with the original Dash. The more affordable version did not suffer any dropouts and, most importantly, this wireless in-ear headphones did not lose connection with each other during our tests.
Now that earbuds without the tether are becoming more common, there are a number of opt to choose from. Bragi’s Headphones are certainly worth considering.
Bragi is now shipping The Headphone immediately on its website in Black colour with an estimated delivery time within two weeks.
