Lenovo has officially released its new ThinkPad X130e laptop which is specially designed for students.
The Lenovo ThinkPad X130e is a portable laptop with an 11.6 inch 1366×768 pixel display measures 1.29 inches thick, and weighs 3.9 pounds, which is light enough to tote around comfortably.It is configured with an Intel Core i3-2367M ULV second generation Sandy Bridge processor with AMD Fusion E-300 APU, or E-450 APU, 320GB or 500GB spinning hard drives, and up to 8GB of RAM. The 6-cell battery can last up to 8.5 hours on a full charge. It has both VGA and HDMI video outputs, Gigabit Ethernet. It also includes Lenovo’s RapidBoot technology that should cut the startup time. There are also three USB 2.0 ports and a 4-in-1 media card reader (SD/SDHC/SDXC/MMC) and a VGA webcam with low light sensitivity with a WiFi and Bluetooth and optional mobile broadband.
The ThinkPad X130e is loaded with Lenovo’s famous scalloped chiclet keys that provide one of the best typing experiences you can find on laptops .It’s worth noting that it’s a Thinkpad rather than an Ideapad model and therefore comes with the Thinkpad’s signature “nipple” controller.

ThinkPad X130e weigh less than 4 pounds, provide up to 8.5 hours of run time, and have rugged design elements including a rubber bumper on the top cover, strong corners and hinges, and reinforced and recessed ports. The ThinkPad X130e is specially designed to withstand the occasional fall or the abuse a notebook is likely to incur when thrown into a backpack.
